On-Site Dialysis Service

A unique feature of the sub-acute rehabilitation programs at Glenhaven is the on-site Hemo and Peritoneal Dialysis Programs.

As the only sub-acute care providers of these services presently on Long Island the Glenhaven facilities provide the most effective rehabilitation environment for both chronic and short-term dialysis patients.  By eliminating the need for an off-site Hemodialysis center 3 days per week. Hemodialysis patients save the expense of transportation and gain valuable rehabilitation time which helps them return home sooner.  Our peritoneal Dialysis patients have the option of manual exchanges on a nocturnal cycler exchange from our fully trained nursing staff.  Prior to discharge, staff education is complete ensuring patient competency on self treatment.  These patients have no disruption in their rehab program.

On-site dialysis at Glengariff and Port Jefferson is a great example of the Glenhaven commitment to serving the individual health care needs of our patients.
