Caring for persons with Alzheimer's Disease, or a related memory-impairment, can present special challenges. The Heather Haven unit at the Glengariff Health Care Center has been designed to offer support and guidance in an atmosphere that will preserve the dignity, autonomy, and individuality of each person.

Our professional caregivers have received specialized education and training in the treatment of persons with memory loss. A structured program of therapeutic activity offers the physical and intellectual stimulation essential to preserving existing abilities.

Heather Haven's programs is tailored to the distinct needs of each participant, and provides a creative atmosphere in which participants will experience maximum freedom of movement and expression.
