Established in 1971, Glengariff Health Care Center has earned a reputation as leading provider of quality sub-acute short-term and long term medical care. In 1996, Glengariff became one of the first facilities in New York State to receive JCAHO Accreditation for subacute care. In the Glenhaven tradition, our programs and services are developed in tandem with the latest medical knowledge and technology. Our short-term rehabilitation and complex medical sub-acute services rival those of the finest hospitals and offer realistic, cost-effective treatment alternatives to lengthy hospital stays.

We are also the only subacute care provider of Hemodialysis and one of the few Peritoneal Dialysis Programs in Nassau County. On-site dialysis at Glengariff is a great example of our commitment to serving the health care needs of our patients. Associated with the finest hospitals in the county and New York City, our staff of licensed nurses and therapists work closely with the physician to design a plan of care that will best meet

 

The Glengariff campus is a beautiful, peaceful retreat. Enjoy a panoramic view of Long Island's Gold Coast from the terrace of the historic Poplar Hill mansion, or the quiet majesty of our woodlands, overlooking Long Island Sound.

Spacious private and semi-private rooms, overlooking our landscaped, wooded campus, have been furnished for your comfort. Attractive, nutritious meals are planned by our registered dietician and carefully prepared by our talented chef.

Our recreation staff offer a wide variety of social and therapeutic activities that encompass many interests and abilities. Community excursions provide opportunities to visit local points of interest.
