Glengariff Health Care Center
Named Among Top Nursing Homes In The U.S.

Glen Cove, New York. Glengariff Health Care Center, an affiliate of the North Shore/LIJ Health System, was named among the top one percent of governement certified nursing homes in the United States to receive a "AAA" rating by CareScout, a Massachusetts based company dedicated to empowering Americans with cost savings and quality of care information on nursing homes.

CareScout assigns ratings to nursing homes by evaluating government inspection records, quality of life data, and other objective resident care information for all certified facilities. In announcing these results on May 7, 2003, CareScout recognized a select number of nursing homes throughout the United States that earned the top performer "AAA" designation in the current state rating and maintained a four year historical mark of consecutive Triple A state ratings. Out of 16,400 facilities rated nationwide, Glengariff Health Care Center was 1 of only 8 nursing homes in New York State to receive the national "AAA" rating for exceptional quality of care.

"The staff at the Glengariff Health Care Center takes pride in their work and has always put the residents' needs first, therefore providing the highest quality of care," states Maryann Crenny, Administrator. "It is a great honor to have received this recognition."

Both Glengariff Health Care Center and it's sister facility, Port Jefferson Health Care Facility, were also honored with the highest "AAA" current state rating.
