Port Jefferson Health Care Facility Named Among Top
Nursing Homes In The New York Metropolitan Area

Port Jefferson, New York, May 19: Port Jefferson Health Care Facility, owned by Glenhaven Health Care Organization, was given a "AAA" current state rating by CareScout, a Massachusetts based company dedicated to empowering Americans with cost savings and quality of care information on nursing homes nationwide.

CareScout assigns ratings to certified nursing homes by evaluating quality of life
and care data, government survey inspections, and other objective resident care information. Rating designations include "AAA", "AA", "A", "B", "C" and "D".
In order to receive CareScout's "AAA" current state rating, a nursing home must meet exceptional quality of life and care requirements, maintain full compliance with all eldercare laws and regulations, and be free of any health deficiencies as noted by state and federal officials during the nursing home unannounced inspection survey.

"We are honored to have been named one of only thirty-two facilities to receive this highest triple A rating. The excellent care that is provided to our residents is the result of dedication on the part of all staff, physicians, and ancillary providers and I am very pleased that CareScout recognized them for their exceptional work," said Ellen Harte, Associate Administrator.

Also named a top performer was Glengariff Health Care Center in Glen Cove. Owned by Glenhaven Health Care Organization, Glengariff Health Care Center not only received the current state "AAA" rating but was named among the top one percent of facilities nationwide because of it's consistent outstanding performance.

"I am honored that both facilities were recipients of CareScout's highest AAA current state rating among New York Metropolitan nursing homes, and elated that Glengariff Health Care Center was among the top one percent of all facilities nationwide to receive CareScout's highest triple AAA national rating," stated Ken Winston, chief operating officer for Glenhaven Health Care Organization.
